stencils - I began with an exacto knife, cardboard, and spray paint, as a way to give my clothes more character. Since then, I've been able to experiment with many different materials and processes, such as vinyl, laser-cut metal/plastics, and silk screening. However, I still prefer the old-school, hands-on approach of sketching the design directly onto mat board, cutting it with an exacto knife, and applying with spray paint.
stencil artwork - Here’s a selection of stencil graphics. Above are vector illustrations, which were later laser-cut into acrylic. Below are hand-crafted; sketched on poster board then cut with an exacto-knife.
process - I am very intrigued by the act of creating your own clothing, as well as showing your work by wearing it. Shown here is an example of the stencil-applied graphics and its process. It is a two-color, masked, and sprayed t-shirt using a single stencil.
