A Green School
This project was initiated to create awareness among children about the 3 R's- Reduce, Reuse and Recycle wastage. A fun activity was conducted where the children discovered the joy and techniques of recycling paper and other waste items.

Grade 6 students of Vishwashanti Gurukul, Pune

DAY 1-
Students get a new classmate, Mr. Bin. They are asked to throw their dry paper waste in Mr. Bin
DAY 2 (After 2 weeks): A discussion on what happens to the waste

DAY 2 (After 2 weeks):
After a brief discussion on waste management, students empty Mr. Bin.
The waste paper is shred, soaked in water and left for a week to make paper mache

DAY 3 (After 1 week) :
The paper mache is ground to pulp and the students learn how to recycle it by making hand-made paper and other 3D models
