Superyacht Design Competition 2011

I have won the UK Superyatcht Design competion, which gave me the chance to compete in the ‘Abitare La Barca’ in Pisa, Italy.

I competed against 14 selected Italian students coming fourth.

Role: I am responsible for Consumer Electronics and involved in boys toys as well as being a creative for the team.
Activitys undertaken: working as part of a team, working with clients on a daily basis, ideation, concept generation, concept development, product styling, team presentations, sketch modelling and product finalisation.

Skills and competencies

Software

I am highly proficient in Adobe CS3-CS5 Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Indesign, Sketchbook Pro and Designer.

I have moved my design process to digital and am proficient using a Wacom tablet.

I am able to work in 3D and am proficient in Solidworks both modeling and rendering. I am also proficient in all components of Microsoft Office.

Artistic skills and competencies

Painting on canvas using acrylics and oils, I enjoy using a wide range of materials and methods with watercolors, inks, markers, airbrush, charcoal, pencil, stone and clay

Hobbies and activitys

In my spare time I enjoy hiking, drawing, cooking, painting, and spending time with friends and family.

Other interests

I was involved in the UCLAN university peer mentoring programme in my third year and mentored a Product Design student.
