Experience December 2014-Present Autodesk, inc. Education Manager for the USA focused on Fusion360 education and adoption. If you are interested in having me visit your school, please reach out to me. jeffrey.smith@autodesk.com Happy to host a variety of CAD and Sketching workshops. 1993 - November 2014 Reflex Design, Inc. - Design Director/Principal United States based design firm for Greenmaster Industrial Corp. Taiwan. Responsibilities include all design work completed for Greenmaster and our growing outside client base. Manage design staff and overall company direction, process, technology and business growth. Establish and oversee annual corporate budget. Client management and regular travel to Taiwan, China and Europe for project work. Created Reflex Design Internship program. 2001- 2009 Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale - Adjunct ID Department Faculty A quick summary of the five classes I instructed. 1-Advanced Marker rendering - Instruction on hand drawn concept generation and presentation techniques. 2-Advanced SolidWorks - Program instruction focused on advanced surface construction and creating "smart parts". within assembly files. 3-Advanced Product Design - Twice yearly class centered on the process of an eleven week project development. In addition, each class has a corporate sponsor. 4-Design For Manufacturing - Once a year class with a strong emphasis on design for the manufacturing world. 5-Personal Watercraft Design - Once a year class going through the process of design a Personal watercraft. 2004- 2008 IDSA Florida Chapter officer Served two consecutive two year terms as the Florida Chapter Chair. Responsible for local IDSA events and helping to plan/organize the Southern District IDSA regional conferences. Currently serving as the Florida IDSA Chapter Treasurer. 2002-present Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale ID Department Steering Committee Member of Professional Designers helping to insure proper direction of the ID Department cirriculum. Education 1993 Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) BFA Industrial Design Computer Experience Solidowork 97Plus through current 2010 edition. Extensive surface modeling, solid part construction, rendering and large assembly management for production. Sketchbook Pro -Rendering and sketching in a native digital world.
