PERSONAL PROFILE

I have been designing and using a Mac for over 15 years, and have gained an excellent knowledge in all areas of design, computers and the internet. I am very passionate about the industry I am involved with and am proud of the work I have accomplished and the business relationships I have made throughout my career as a graphic designer.

I see my major strengths as being a team player, organized and adaptable. I work extremely hard at making the client happy with their finished product, can handle substantial projects with great ease, and am able to jump easily from project to project.



CAREER HISTORY

Visual Ventures: July 2000 – October 2008 Senior Graphic Designer
Worked directly with clients to create designs and marketing materials from concept to completion. Projects included: identity, brochures, ads, catalogs, flyers, print materials, digital files, and web design.

Allisons of Manson: May 2004 – October 2008 Creative Director
Created all sales and marketing materials for retail/interior design studio (including signage, website, direct mail, flyers, in-store promotional pieces, forms, rewards program, etc.), as well as full-service graphic design for clients, where I worked directly with clients from concept to completion.

Wenatchee, Everett & Bellingham Business Journals: May 1998 – July 2000 Creative Director
Designed all advertising to be displayed within the Wenatchee, Everett and Bellingham Business Journals. Worked with sales staff to create ads, assisted in newspaper layout, and was responsible for all digital pre-production work for delivering all three periodicals, individually, to press on a monthly basis.

NCW Nickel Ads – Wenatchee: February 1995 – May 1998 Graphic Designer
Started as an entry-level designer where my duties included creating ad layouts by means of blue-line; and graduated to senior designer where I designed ads digitally, as well as supervising entire design staff to complete layout of entire paper for press on a weekly basis.

Equipment: I possess up-to-date hardware, software and tools necessary to efficiently complete design projects.

Expertise includes: Visual arts as well specifying print, paper and binding. The creative process always includes many facets in designing the final piece, so that whatever the aim, promotion is absolute.

Proficient in: The Adobe Creative Suite on a Mac OS (including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat), as well as Macromedia Freehand.

Skilled in: Adobe Dreamweaver, Macromedia Fireworks, Joomla, WordPress, FileMaker Pro and MS Office, QuarkXPress and PageMaker.

Experienced in: All production skills necessary for off-set printing (from high quality scans to direct-to-plate output), in addition to interactive and web projects (including electronic signs, advertising and web sites).
