Articulating Motion
Chamartin Train Station, Madrid, Spain - The proposal embraces the act of transportation in an architectural language which imposes constant motion and unimpeded travel through curvilinear, specular, and smooth surfaces. The space is rich with natural light allowed by clerestories integrated into the striations of the ceiling. Special considerations have been given to environmental and bioclimatic issues. These issues are directly integrated into the station and deal with passive ventilation, solar heat gain, and shading.
