Etude - A portable electronic manuscript and tabulature viewer - Part of a brief to design a handheld product that a user can download purchased content onto.
Sheet music is a copyrighted publication and isn't readily available as an affordable soft copy. A device like Etude would encourage the development of a service where users can download individual song notations for a small price, much like online mp3 stores now. This would stop musicians having to buy whole songbooks and offers another potential source of revenue for artists and record companies.
