I am currently a third year Industrial Design student actively pursuing a design related internship for the summer of 2008. While I am interested in every aspect of design and learning as much as possible, my eventual hope is to find a home in the sportswear/equipment/outdoor life place of design.
OBJECTIVE To obtain a project-oriented, hands-on, educational internship in an industrial and/or graphic design firm. EDUCATION 2005-present, Georgia Institute of Technology, Industrial Design Overall GPA: 3.23 Major GPA: 3.64 WORK EXPERIENCE Graphic Designer October 2007 – current Georgia Institute of Technology – Georgia Tech Auto Show Worked with show planning team to identify show identity. Created promotional materials & graphics. Updated website. Assisted planning team in creative brainstorming. Graphic Design/Marketing Intern March – October 2007 The Sandbox Created web & promotional graphics. Researched and analyzed competition. Brainstormed and implemented new marketing and promotional techniques. Helped modify corporate identity to better reach new market segments. Computer Specialist June – August 2007 Best Buy Quickly learned and implemented company sales and customer service strategy. Developed working product knowledge and understanding of related technologies. Automotive Sales and Leasing Consultant May – August 2006 Hubler Acura Responsible for greeting and interacting with clients, maintaining extensive product knowledge, and guiding customers through the car buying process through various sales techniques and skills. Adapted quickly to a competitive, commission-based sales environment. LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES Alpha Tau Omega Treasurer December 2007 - current Maintained and evaluated a $300K+ annual budget. In the process of implementing a more efficient, organized system of bill payment, record keeping, and payment collection. Georgia Tech Lacrosse Club Co-President Spring 2007 - current Responsible for creating and presenting proposals to obtain university funding and for representing the organization in various campus meetings. Inter-Fraternity Council Educational Programming Chair March 2007 – current Planned and coordinated large educational seminar for incoming freshmen on the positive aspects of fraternity/sorority life as well as the dangers of hazing, irresponsible alcohol consumption, and sexual assault.
