Description

I set out to find a way to reconcile the accuracy of a straight haft with the efficiency of the a bent handle. Keeping the hands in line with the centerline of the haft simplifies swing mechanics, while allowing for natural grip offset provides power.

The axe is a fully functioning prototype made from locally sourced hickory, hand stitched leather and a recycled axe head. The haft is protected by a wax paste to give it a light polish and smooth feel.
