At this 11-year-old web marketing company, I was a member of an 8-person team responsible for creating roughly 260 5-page websites for small business across the nation. Of those 260, I was responsible for designing nearly half. I also designed and developed the web portal for Beacon Express, a new venture for the company.

My internship at this alternative newsweekly in Fall 2005 evolved into a paid position in 2006. I was responsible for illustration, design and occasional writing assignments.

Executive Editor 2005-2007
The Carolinian Greensboro NC
As chief managing officer of The Carolinian, UNCG’s independent student newspaper, I was responsible for the finances and operation of the weekly publication. I oversaw the creation of definitive operating procedures and a code of ethics, a 50% increase in ad sales, doubling the page count of the print publication, the creation of a new section and editorial position, and a complete design overhaul..

Opinions Editor 2004-2005

As Opinions Editor I was responsible for hiring and editing staff columnists and cartoonists, laying out the section on a weekly basis, and publishing letters to the editor and guest columns.
