- Drive all user experience design activity for the Product Development team

* Run user testing on developing products to ensure usefulness, usability and a positive customer experience. Compile reports with statistical analysis of end-user experience of product use
* Develop roadmaps of initiatives and provide leadership and creative direction for suites of products
* Determine work priorities, methods, procedures and independently arrive at solutions for new, complex assignments
* Interacts with employees and key stakeholders on an advisory basis

* Work closely with product development and our global engineering team to develop user-centric designs and implement a unified product experience for the Backup Exec (BE) 2010 product line
* Backup Exec’s representative on Symantec’s Global User Centered Design team, an organization responsible for defining the corporate layout and interaction guidelines for all Symantec enterprise products

* Write code and create digital assets (videos, sound clips, animations) for photo movie storyboards that display customer's photos in personalized photo books, movies, posters and more
* Write XHTML, CSS, and PHP for our corporate and product web sites for clients including HP, Costco, Walmart, Meijer, and Walgreens

* Assist development teams in deploying consistent and effective UI. Iteratively refine designs through usability testing and product reviews
* Research and interview customers to capture the tasks and goals of the end-user and the contexts in which they use our product. Utilize various techniques (e.g., customer visits, interviews, surveys, & focus groups) to derive initial user experience requirements
* Develop mockups and prototype to describe a precise picture of the form and behavior of our product to the engineers; Displayed working knowledge of prototyping tools, such as Flash, HTML and PowerPoint.

* Write HTML and provide graphics for online banking systems sold to financial institutions
* Design and create storyboards and graphics for online advertising campaigns

* Design layouts and code the HTML and CGI scripts for e-commerce sites hosted in Galaxy Mall
