Light Art

This is an image of a lantern I created for the Cleveland Art Museum's Winter Lights Festival. This lantern was initially designed as a lighted sculpture meant to engage the viewer by making a connection to both the interior and exterior space created by the design. I wanted to use high magnification lenses to warp what could be seen on the inside of the sculpture. By using a colored lens and direct lighting I was able to create beautiful projected images that baffle the mind. This lantern is currently on view in the Education Lobby at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
