Animals of Svalbard - On our recent honeymoon trip we were lucky enough to find many Arctic animals. This polar bear sat on a rock doing nothing but blink for half an hour - then it got up, yawned, sniffed the air and lay down again. I was lucky to catch it's yawn - I could pretend that it is growling. ;)

Bird on a branch - I was playing around with my camera in Ireland (this is the avarage lighting I had mid-day during winter there). I was trying to pick out different silhouettes from the trees when I noticed this bird (robin) - the only 'soft' object in the shot.
