Patchwork - Fourth Year - Group project "The success of the Urban Patchwork is dependant on the precise joining of its components"
The Thread of Destiny - We spent the first part of this semester exploring 'multiplicity in the city' in small groups. We then focussed on individual responses to these investigations. This was my proposal.
Component - Pre Fab Housing - This project explores a component (in this case a wall module) and how this can be assembled in various ways to create a contemporary Australian house.
The results of our theoretical journey were: a catalogue and an idea.
The current consumer market is moving into internet shopping. Give someone a catalogue and a basic computer program and let them believe they are designing their own home - a home which has its basis in historical precedents and contemporary Australian trends.

Remote Aboriginal Housing - As part of our Environmental Design Studio we explored the extra design considerations required to facilitate the housing of remote Aboriginal communities. We tried to incorporate cultural issues whilst still maintaining health and safety standards.
