Final Year Project

This is my final year project of my 5 year MEng Degree. The project is based on re-imagining the derny pacing bike.

A Derny bike is a petrol powered pacing bicycle used to pace the Keirin cycling event at major championships such as Olympics, world championships etc. The eDerny system is a self sustaining electric Derny bike which uses a device to capture potential kinetic energy from cyclists warming up before their event to charge detachable batteries which will in turn be used on an electric Derny bike. This solution will create a self sustaining electrical system to bring the Derny into the 21st century.

Details are intentionally limit and vague in order to protect any potential IP that may come as a result of this project.
