I graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 2017 with a BFA in Industrial Design. I currently work for a furniture design company called Navillus Woodworks, which is part of the Dock 6 Collective. Our team builds custom furniture for private clients as well as restaurants, bars, food halls, etc. I love woodworking and I'm in the process of developing my metalworking skills. I'm also interested in sustainable packaging and design for the environment. The majority of my inspiration comes from origami and nature. It’s amazing that almost any form, geometric or organic, can be created from a flat piece of paper, and I especially enjoy building forms with modular origami. I am inspired by nature because its beauty is everywhere. I hope to design products that undo environmental damage or prevent further harm from occurring. Currently, I am most interested in zero-waste lifestyles and sustainable living in small homes.
