I am a senior studying industrial design at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I specialize in furniture making, although I am interested in sustainable packaging and design for the environment. The majority of my inspiration comes from origami and nature. It’s amazing that almost any form, geometric or organic, can be created from a flat piece of paper, and I especially enjoy building forms with modular origami. I am inspired by nature because its beauty is everywhere. I hope to design products that undo environmental damage or prevent further harm from occurring. Currently, I am most interested in zero-waste lifestyles and sustainable living in small homes.
