The Austin ConfabThe first event in Coroflot's 2009 Creative Confab series took place in the middle of the frenetic South by Southwest Interactive Festival in Austin, TX. An enthusiastic and curious crowd showed up, packing the room for an enlightening hour-long panel discussion. Attendees came from across the country (and beyond), representing a wide swath of creative fields, including folks looking to hire talent, and plenty of job-seekers as well. Companies on hand included frogdesign, Dell, Aquent, The Knot, Rare Method, Emma and others. After wrapping up the panel, the audience and panelists stuck around for a two-hour cocktail reception, getting to know each other a bit better before heading backing to the larger festival, and the vibrant culture that makes Austin such a creative hotbed. |
