Born in Wyoming, I come from a long line of cowboys, cattle ranchers, and
oil men. The can-do spirit is in my DNA! In fact, as early as age 10, after
securing 50¢ in venture capital from my mother, I set off with a red wagon
full of lemonade and mud pies to set up shop on the corner next to my house. After two days of no sales, frustrated and near bankruptcy, I was about to throw in the towel when a neighbor stopped by and said “Boy, you’re never gonna sell anything without a sign.” After creating a beautiful, attention-grabbing banner -- and selling five wagonloads of goodies -- Cody the adman was born.

When I'm not at work, I still like to play in the mud -- only today I call
it sculpting. My wife Jessica and I enjoy taking our two labs, Sadie and
Jager, on weekend adventures. Stopping in small towns along the way,
we get a kick out of antique shopping and stirring up debates in diners
and coffee shops.
