Provided high level design solutions for the scooter, wheel chair, and lift departments. Researched, sketched, and conceptualized new products as well as redesigned existing models. Evaluated concepts to aline with the manufactures capabilities. Advised marketing, sales, and management teams on design opportunities. Utilized SolidWorks 3D modeling for all prototyping and manufacturing. Coordinated efforts with mechanical and electrical engineers throughout the design process. + Lead designer on the Jazzy Select Elite, Pride’s first front wheel drive power wheelchair, America’s #1 Power Chair with a volume of 10K per month. Collaborated closely with engineering and was responsible for the design of all plastics.
+ Selected to travel to Shenzhen, China Feburary 2007 to oversee vendor’s tooling, first shot plastic parts, and product assembly of the Jazzy Select Traveller. Provided onsite design modifications to resolve manufacturing problems
+ Spearheaded the GoGo ES 3 and 4 wheel scooter line. Delivered cost effective solutions for an aggressive timeline. Travelled to YongKang, China May 2011 to oversee production and resolve startup problems at the vendor’s facility.
+ Lead designer on the Q6 Edge Power wheelchair, Pride’s flagship offering under the Quantum brand. Collaborated closely with engineering to successfully deliver an innovative design that exceeded complex form and function objectives.
+ Selected as the ID representative for the REHA CARE 2011 international Trade Fair in Düsseldorf Germany. Accompanied sales and management staff and conducted user and trend research. Presented results to design team and management.
