Sept 10 - present Girlswear designer at H&M Stockholm
Responsible for all knit and jersey product design and coordination for L.O.G.G. girls, an in-house concept that reflects the All American lifestyle. (sizes 86-170)

• Trained to build a collection from initial concept to final product.
• Working directly with the woven product and concept designer creating and co-ordinating a cohesive range based on current trends, commercial value and sales figures. Monitoring how the concept’s customer is affected by trends and the strategic goals and act accordingly.
• Working closely with the buying and pattern team to ensure good quality products through sourcing fabrics, assessing and approving samples and driving the product development forward.
• Liaising with overseas production offices in countries such as Bangladesh, China and Turkey. Production trips to develop new techniques for up and coming trends as well as solving current issues on site.
• Looking thoroughly at a variety of trend prediction and fashion media to identify key looks for the season that are appropriate for the customer.
• Regular inspiration trips abroad to increase knowledge of competitors and to keep up to date with exciting new products.
• Ensuring that technical design artworks are created and updated.
• Mentoring the design assistant into a fully responsible designer.

Assisting the product designer for L.O.G.G boys (sizes 86-170) with the planning and development of the complete product range – woven and soft.

• Showing initiative and contributing design ideas based on current trends whilst keeping the concept’s core products and customer focus in mind.
• Creating and updating technical design artworks for production.
• Responsible for updating the product overviews, colour charts and other presentation material.
• Assisting in sample assessments and fittings.
• Responsible for all check and stripe design using Lectra Kaledo Weave.
• Keeping up to date with new products and competitors through a variety of trend prediction, fashion media and regular shopping trips.

DESIGN AND TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficient use of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign CS4 and MS Office.
Highly competent working with checks and jacquards with both Lectra Kaledo Weave and Knit application.
Able to produce accurate and efficient CAD brief sheets to ensure high quality samples.
Well-developed hand drawing skills for creative design.
