Making A Fashion Statement" (against ethnocentrism) - 10 ways not to be an ethncentrist: Wearable art purposed to speak to real world issues, and develop methods to target audiences to begin solving the problem of ethnocentrism, a powerful subset of racism. It exposes real and current effects in our society, challenging youth and their supporters to take matters and work on ending this powerful subtlety. The idea of "coolness" and meaningful fashion “statements”(pun intended), appealed to high school youth and other age groups. Children as neutral and widely accepted role models also caught the interests of many.
Roles: Concept development, research, timeline management, graphic design, typography, production management, copywriter, public relations, sponsorship head.
