Duties include the design, layout & proofreading of pages by importing, arranging & styling of text & digital photos; downloading from subscription net sources feature graphics and photos for print; coordinating with editors & co-workers in a deadline-oriented newspaper environment on weeklies & dailies; utilizing QuarkExpress, Photoshop & Word applications in a networked Mac environment; preparing & troubleshooting color and black & white PDF documents for prepress.
