David Proeber Industrial Designer david@proeber.com EDUCATION 2008-2012 Arizona State University Tempe AZ BSD Industrial Design 2007-2008 University of Wisconsin Waukesha Waukesha WI Concentration in Computer Science EXPERIENCE October 2012- Present Wilson Sporting Goods, Chicago IL Racket Sports Industrial Designer -Work primarily as the Industrial Designer for the worlds leading brand in Tennis. I also spend much of my time working with other divisions, on the conception of new product which is derived from heavy research and concept generation. August 2010- Present Independent Industrial Design, Chicago IL -Work with clients on a number of product development tasks; which involve conceptualization, form development, and CAD modeling/rendering. Also spent time consulting with web development, working with user interaction and refining existing websites to better suit the end user. August 2011- May 2012 Innovation Space, Tempe AZ Industrial Designer Worked with Disney Consumer Products to develop children's products for children with autism. Collaborated with a graphic designer, an engineer, and an entrepreneur to work together to find the best possible solution for the need. Focused on extensive research, both primary and secondary, to find gaps within the market, and conceptualized and developed a realistic product. May 2010- August 2010 and May 2011- August 2011 Wilson Sporting Goods, Chicago IL Industrial Design Intern -Worked closely with the Wilson Golf Research and Development Division, by being a part of several design projects. Worked extensively in researching competitors, conceptualizing new ideas, full scale form development, and human factors. During this internship I was able to see my conceptual design become reality, developing from concept sketch, to small scale model, to full scale model, to computer model, to a professionally manufactured realistic prototype, to eventually a product currently in market. 2006 to 2011 Best Buy Mobile, Chandler AZ/ Brookfield WI Mobile Sales Consultant Expertise in selling mobile phones to any and all types of consumers. Extremely patient in learning and understanding the needs of the customer, as well as resolving any issues they might have. This position has increased my ability to sell products and product ideas to the consumer market, as well as strengthening my personal and interactive skills.
