An award winning product design consultancy recognized for their innovative work on consumer electronics and medical devices. Their clients range from startups to Fortune 100 companies and include prestigious brands like GE, Microsoft and Nike. I was part of a multidisciplinary team that included research, design, and engineering. We provided clients with a meaningful blend of insightful research, thoughtful design and end-to-end engineering solutions. I participated in all phases of the up-front product development process including: research, concept generation, rendering, prototyping and client presentations. As an active member of Carbon’s Green Team, I helped to measure Carbon’s carbon footprint and create goals to shape Carbon’s business and team in sustainable ways.
Farm Product Development | Summer 2010 Internship, Hollis, NH
A design and engineering consultancy recognized for award winning work on medical devices and consumer products. Farm works with a variety of clients ranging from small entrepreneurial start-ups to large Fortune 500 companies. I worked on a multi-disciplinary team that included research, engineering and design. We worked closely with the clients to develop innovative solutions for real world business challenges while carefully considering brand, aesthetics, ergonomics and universal design. I participated in consumer research, concept generation, prototyping and development. My primary responsibilities included concept sketches, computer rendering, full-scale mock-ups and client presentation material.
Fisher Price | Sponsored Studio, Spring Semester, 2011
A large US based corporation that produces toys for infants and children. The project focused on creating toddler feeding concepts for Fisher Price’s Baby Gear division. I designed and developed a portable feeding container concept for infants. The design generated high levels of client interest and was nominated as one of the top five best designs.
Little Tikes | Sponsored Studio, Spring Semester 2010
A large US based corporation that manufactures children’s toys. The project focused on creating sustainable solutions for toy kitchens. I designed and developed a carnival themed concept for 3-5 year old children that generated high levels of client interest.
