My duties were to prepare electronic files for press. I would insure that all images were in the correct color space and at an appropriate resolution; that fonts were supplied with the digital file or embedded as necessary. Addressed any file or image issues. Color corrected and/or edited images. Formatted text to be used in page layouts. Designed appealing page layouts by importing text and images utilizing my skills in typography, color and arrangement. Generated proofs of designed layouts in various stages for comments and changes. Proofread files for any text errors, image appeal and overall aesthetics of layouts. I would follow up with internal staff and vendors on issues and questions relating to assigned projects. My duties were to work on multiple catalogs at the same time from start to finish. I designed templates for catalogs, using style sheets, master pages, libraries. I designed fresh page layouts as well as reworked existing page layouts for new products to be added in existing catalog pages. Maintained assigned publication pages with corrections, updates and revisions. Worked with trafficking, production departments to ensure deadlines are met. Coordinated with marketing team and product managers for product information for updates and revisions.
