Spyhop: Children's Museum Piece - Design a children’s piece for the Whatcom Children’s Museum intended for 3-7 year old children using donated plywood supplied by Windsor Plywood in Bellingham, WA. The piece needed to be safe, foster play and imagination, and be constructed primarily of plywood. Because the piece would be installed in the museum, it must fit with the current maritime theme of the other exhibits.

Spyhop: Children's Museum Piece - When addressing the problem proposed by this project, my initial focus was to embody the ideas a 3-7 year old would think of when asked to describe Pacific Northwest marine life. Following these basic forms, I elaborated on them to include interactive aspects such as light, moving pieces, constructive components, and enclosures.

Bent Oak Laminate Chair - Wholly wood-construction chair as a personal project inspired by Aalvar Alto. Built using custom made oak veneer and jig. The project was intended to test my construction abilities, as well as material limits.

Dominion In-Car Command Center by Bang & Olufsen for Cadillac - Dominion is a collaboration between electronic design experts Bang & Olufsen the American luxury car manufacturer Cadillac. The clean lines of B&O contrast the aggressive exterior stylings of Cadillac to create a minimal, yet highly functional interior. With the capabilities of a personal computer, GPS, and smartphone, Dominion acts as a liaison between home and business.

Dominion In-Car Command Center by Bang & Olufsen for Cadillac - By choosing Bang & Olufsen as inspiration behind this design for Cadillac, incredibly clean lines and minimal interfaces come to mind. Looking back at the more minimal designs by Cadillac, I think of the classic cars of the 1950’s. The combination of these two minimal aspects led to the idea of a design with slightly retro stylings- the simplicity and elegance of the past, but hidden inside is the incredible technology of today.

Comcast Cable Box - Cable Box designed as personal project to be manufactured by Motorola Mobility for Comcast Cable. Multiple functions formerly done by many devices are consolidated into one unit. Modelled in Rhino and rendered with VRay.

Comcast Cable Box - Integrates technology from multiple devices into one unit. Notable functions are Blu-Ray playback, Netflix streaming, Media streaming and PC connectivity. Audio and video are broadcast wirelessly between main unit to additional included receiver units located at other monitors throughout home. This device would be offered through a small per month upgrade fee.
