The piece is made entirely using felt sheets - all hand crafted and based on traditional Maori colours of Red, Black and white (here - skin). The geometric skirt overlap contrasts the feathery red skirt and the skin coloured cape overlaying the black pieces inside imitates the meticulous tattoos prevalent in the culture.
