The Swappa-speakers plugged in to an Ipod. - To increase the level of portability these speakers provide, all required power is obtained through the 3.5mm plug. This allows the speakers to be used where power is unavailable.

Looking to the back of the Swappa-speakers - In the back of the speakers a small keyhole is provided from which the speakers can be hung and the cable connection.
The cable and rear of the speakers - The Swappa-speakers use a 3.5mm plug allowing them to be easily plugged into the many different media devices that one is likely to take away with them such as an mp3 player, laptop, cellular phone or portable dvd player.
Foam mock-up testing the stylization of the speakers. - The Swappa-speakers were designed to pay homage to the large rectangular speakers we grew up with and for many can be identified as a key aspect in the development of their love of music.
The rear view of the mock-up. - The initial idea featured a removable rear panel providing access to the workings of the speaker. This was later dropped in order to make the design more simple and visually appealing.
