MARKETING | CREATIVE DIRECTION | BRAND DEVELOPMENT :
•Develop and implement year-round public relations and marketing strategies for United Way of Central Oklahoma (UWCO). Create fresh concepts, provide art direction and production of all marketing materials including PSA’s for TV and radio, print ads, corporate video, web banners, outdoor boards and multi-media.
•Redesigned the public image and brand of UWCO, which resulted in the award winning public service campaign, “This is REAL life. Help.”
•Lead the marketing effort for The Horizon Circle, UWCO’s young leaders association. Through a unique web site, social events and volunteer activities, membership has increased and a new breed of dedicated United Way volunteers and donors has evolved.
•Created new brand identity and marketing material for Volunteer For Animal Welfare’s annual Paws on Parade fundraiser, which resulted in record-breaking attendance and T-shirt sales in 2004.
•Develop brands for clients in various sectors including Real Estate, state agencies, non-profit, etc.
WEB DEVELOPMENT & MULTIMEDIA:
•Designed and manage United Way of Central Oklahoma’s 200 page web site.
•Created Reality Check, a flash-based donor education and solicitation tool distributed by CD-ROM, via e-mail as a stand-alone executable program and on United Way’s web site. Reality Check increased traffic to United Way’s site and was awarded an ADDY for best public service multi-media presentation.
•Developed and managed Made in Oklahoma Coalition web site. The consumer friendly site increased awareness about the Made in Oklahoma Coalition and served as an informational porthole.
•Developed and currently manage several consumer sites including:
CROSS CULTURAL CAMPAIGNS
•Created successful marketing and advertising campaigns for various projects to effectively reach both the English and Hispanic market. Projects include Circulo de Amigos Spanish Club, ARCO Festival, Las Mujeres,
•Created “Una Semilla” Spanish brochure & poster (United Way); “This is REAL life. Help.” Spanish ads, radio PSA, billboard (United Way); copy writing for various ads (United Way).
•The ARTZONE: Managing editor, art director and writer; Coordinated with contributing writers and published Individual Artists of Oklahoma’s (IAO) monthly publication.
•COMMUNITY OUTLOOK: Editor, Creative Director and writer; United Way of Central Oklahoma’s semi-annual publication
Public Relations | Promotions & Event Planning :
•2003 Publicity Chair, 12X12 Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition fundraiser
Successfully pitched stories and arranged media placement with local media.
•2000- 2002 Event Chair, “Not So Silent Night” Individual Artists of Oklahoma fundraiser
Recruited volunteers, organized meetings, helped coordinated call for entries, oversaw food sponsor recruitment; Provided creative direction for decorations, theme, and invitations; Coordinated publicity, produced and delivered unique press kits to media outlets resulting in interviews on local television and radio shows; In the three years I chaired this event, Not So Silent Night was extremely successful, drawing in more ticket sales and art sales than ever before.
•Successfully organized 2002 Winter Olympic Torch Run judging panel.
Recruited judges with diverse backgrounds as required by the Olympic Torch Run organizing committee to judge entries for prospective Olympic Torch runners for the City of Oklahoma City
