Design tooling for deep-draw steel operation in Independent Cam Operated Plunger Press (ICOP) equipment.
Key Accomplishments & Responsibilities:
• Implemented two-row blanking process, reducing scrap rate by 6%.
• Supported design and implementation of air pressure check stations to serve as a Poka-Yoke on ICOP machinery, yielding a significant reduction in sort cost and customer concerns.
• Provided timely assessment and troubleshooting of facility machinery and tooling, minimizing impact of unplanned downtime.
• Trained associates in tool design, die bed layouts, record keeping and bills of material.

Monitored and updated internal deviation system and process sheets for various departments (Forming, Tapping, Knurling, Thread Rolling, ICOP, and Assembly).
Key Accomplishments & Responsibilities:
• Supported numerous Kaizen process improvement initiatives involving the implementation of APQP, document control, CAPA/NCR, and deviation modules for CEBOS/MQ1 migration.
• Designed new style tap, more than quadrupling tool lifespan and reducing tooling cost by approximately 6% in comparison to existing tap used in same process.
• Introduced revised operator work instructions, and training and tooling revisions in response to a SMED Kaizen event; Efforts were paramount in substantial reduction of change-over times of assembly machines
