Dino Kasvikis

As an Industrial Designer in Ximedica’s Human Factor Industrial Design group, I work to create innovative, user-driven products in the medical and consumer areas from initial user research through detailed design and into full-scale production. My unique background as a trained mechanical engineer allows me to bridge the gap between engineering and design – ensuring all designs are solidified in sound engineering foundation, yet pushing the boundaries of conventional design ideation.

Having experience taking products through the complete design cycle has given me a unique perspective to always design with the end goal in mind. That mindset, combined with evidence based user-centric research, ensure product solutions I create hit the mark of all stakeholders involved. It my desire to improve these stakeholders’ lives that continues to propel my work efforts as a designer.

As a teaching assistant in the Intro to Industrial Design class, I help create lectures, educate on the design process, foster inspiration and creativity, and help them relate to real-life scenarios.

As being in their shoes a few years ago, I am extremely passionate about educating and providing resources for individuals interested in design and it has been extremely rewarding to see these students grow throughout the semester.
