For people with type two diabetes who are insulin dependent, Eli Lilly manufactures and sells insulin pens. The pens are designed to integrate normalize as much as possible into daily life for the user. I worked with a highly cross-functional team of engineers and doctors and we went to great lengths to learn and discover from the end user what was important.
