I am currently a designer for Bill Blass here in New York City. I am working in the Men's department and also tapping back into the Women's Contemporary market.
Design, recolor and develop print repeats for Men's Dress division. Complete technical packs. Translate trends into concepts that reflect to business needs for the relevant product market. Interpret seasonal fashion direction, merchandise trends, and floor presentations. Responsible for shopping retail markets to seek new print ideasWork with buying staff to adhere to customers needs accurately. Prep for all buyers meetings. Execute and present CADs on presentation boards for seasonal transitions. Approve lab dip and strike-offs. Keep entire department organized and clean on a daily basis.
Carry through design into production. Communicate with NYC factories on day-to-day basis. Source fabrics. Work closely with Designer to cut and sew first samples.
