We are the European centre for Yamaha’s research and development activities, primarily in the fields of professional audio and electronic musical instruments.
Established in 1987, the R&D Centre is responsible for investigating and evaluating market trends, technology developments, and user interface designs as part of Yamaha’s worldwide product planning operations. Product seminars and prototype evaluations are also conducted.
A team of engineers based at the R&D Centre are also responsible for the programming of computer software and online services as an increasingly important element of Yamaha’s product developments. Software content development for electronic musical instruments is another important activity of the centre.
