RTT USA, Inc. was founded in 1999 in Germany, moved to the states in 2005 and opened their first U.S. office in California.
In 2006, the graphics software company added its Royal Oak office to be nearer to the automotive engineering industry. They saw Detroit's Big Three as a natural client for their 3-D visualizing software, which is tailor-made for automotive, aircraft and consumer goods applications.
RTT, whose slogan is "challenging reality," creates virtual showrooms and prototypes so accurately that manufacturers can modify product design and materials without actually having to build prototypes. This has attracted an impressive client list that includes Adidas, Audi, BASF, General Motors, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Thyssen Krupp and Volkswagen. They were recently awarded The Favourite Web Site Award for their Audi R8 marketing video.
With Audi, they created a 3-D model that allows customers to pick the model and color of the vehicle, where they are then taken on a visual tour of car they have chosen. The company has since begun a similar job after inking a contract with the Chrysler Group.
