Film and 3D Animation

"Tanya Takes the Shot," a brief test clip created with the DAZ Studio Pro software. Complex 3D animation of a fully articulated character mounting and firing a rifle; no rotoscope, scripts or motion capture techniques were used. Prop and scenery credits: Tyger Purr/Moebius87's P94d Cleaver, Schell's Armour Works Explosions and Muzzle Flash Kit, Robotmonster's Basement, Xenic101's WarDog Clothing, Aldora Hair, Sparkyworld's Mega City Block 1.

Original animation and render created in DAZ Studio Pro. The character was designed from the default DAZ Genesis figure. The animation sequence was tweened from eight meticulously crafted keyframes and several other intermediate keyframes involving various minor body motions, lighting effects and camera positions. Many of the 3D animated elements are unseen from this clip's camera angle, including footwork, facial expressions, and trigger pull. The clip shown above has been heavily compressed for Internet viewing.
