Sauber - Tumble Washer, Hydro Extractor, Dryer and Flatwork Ironer.
The line is for professional laundry as small commercial laundry, hotels and hostels.
I try to make a clean as possible design - even with the beige colour from the brand. The Stainless steel surface is really useful when you work with chemicals as in the laundry business. Besides it gives a clean finish for the machines.
Tumble Washer - This washer have some special features. In professional laundry there is a preference for liquid soap, but we have a lot of people who demands a dispenser for solid soap, So we planned and designed it in the left upper corner. Another feature is the small door in the botton left that is used by chemical professionals to access the place where they can collect material for tests.
The front offers space to operators feet.
Sauber - Premium Hydro Stractor - This hydro stractor differs from all others in the market. There is two similar products, onde from Electrolux, efficient but small, and another one nick-named "spider" which has a base with 3 "legs" and is ugly as hell.
The drum can make 1400 RPM, this high speed is a dangerous problem. The solution was to build the half botton part out of concrete, heavy and solid as a rock.
Sauber - Premium Dryer - This produc is made to dry up the clothes. The solutions is inspired by poka-yoke (dumb-proof) japanese method as the door is locked by a magnetic locker and the filter who will not open while the machine is on.
As in the other products the logo says when the process ends and the operator can take the clothes to next step.
Premium - Flatwork Ironer - This flatwork ironer makes the perfect finish towels and sheets. The speed can be programed, useful feature to work with different kinds of textiles.

Design Excelence Brazil - This products were selected to represent Brazil in IF Design Awards 2010 by the Design Excelence Brazil, a governmental program to promote Brazilian design.

This is a line with Tumble Washer, Hydro Extractor, Dryer and Flatwork Ironer for small hotels and professional laundry.
The design must be clean and tough, since these products are usually installed at very severe environments, with heat, water and chemicals.
Since the both teams (Design and Engineering) used SolidWorks, innovative proposals where created together, keeping feasibility.
I also redesigned the brand to use a straight typography, and purple to inspire a lavender perfume.
