What a Wonderful World

These graphic novels are a two-volume collection of short stories revolving around the lives of people in a small neighborhood in Tokyo, each striving in some way to cope with reality's joy and sadness. This duality is represented in the upbeat images for volume one and melancholy images for the volume two. The crow reoccurs as a symbol of hope, change and death throughout the series. The typography overlays a mundane neighborhood skyline that is the setting of the book.

Please note: This book is an English edition of a manga (Japanese graphic novel) and is read from right to left. Instead of flipping the art, the work is shown in its original orientation.
