Hi! I am Galini and I am a freelance illustrator and portrait artist based in the UK. I am originaly from Greece. I graduated in 2005 from the University of Wolverhampton where I was studying for a BA (Hons) degree in Illustration. I specialise in children's book illustration, nevertheless enjoy to create illustrations for a variety of subjects. The majority of my illustrations are realistic, although sometimes I prefer to adopt a more cartoonistic style, depending on the project. The materials are use are traditional (ink, pencils, watercolours,pastels) with a few exceptions where I prefer to complete an illustration on Photoshop. Many times I like to use a mixture of media in an illustration.
I exhibited my work in 2005 at the D&AD New Blood Exhibition in London.
I created a variety of story boards which were published in Greece. My most recent work is the illustration of the covers for the two-part book "Myth or History?" which was published in March 2006 in Greece
