The Photocopy and the old school style really gives it a nice Free feel

Thanks guys, don't get much chance to do products like this anymore. I think every designer should at some stage be challenged with doing a chair study - especially a stackable design.

Never made production Jie. The thought behind the pedestal design was the form taken by a splayed hand- it just seemed so obvious!

Did this get made into a real chair? The legs look really cool and it would probably be an interesting challenge to model them out.

This was done during my time with Luis mate, '98ish. That was the cool thing about the Chomiak days, one week your on snow groomers, the next on pens, then police bikes, then coffee machines.......

Gary, it's really great to see someone put some thought into the legs on a task chair. Too often they look like an afterthought. Do you have any more from this series to post?

Thanks Andres I did a couple of years in consultancy, working on a wide variety of product design. Unfortunately I have little record of this, hence this sketch being little more than a photocopy. Shame really as I was pleased with the work done during that time.

Thanks Andres I did a couple of years in consultancy, working on a wide variety of product design. Unfortunately I have little record of this, hence this sketch being little more than a photocopy. Shame really as I was pleased with the work done during that time.
