Thanks Conny - yeah, this would have been about 5 years into my career. I've always tended to work on an A3 format as this will fit onto my scanner bed, no having to sew 2 different halves together.

24 years of practice is really the only answer there Raka, although I do now supplement old-school artworking technique with Photoshop. Thank you too for the comment Charles.

Gary, Can't believe I missed this one! I love the technique and the detail in the train. This rendering has impact with its overall style! I think it is the combo of red and grays that you used to get the depth of shading and lighting. Keep it up!

Ah yes, gouache, pastel, solvent, markers, pencils, masking. And then there was the 2D drafting, sectioning and 4x up graphics and icons for camera work. We had to work with hazardous materials in those days. Work flow has really changed over that time. I believe it's easier to transition from analog to digital than it would be vice versa. Many of the principles and techniques are useful digitally as well. Nice work Gary.

Optimus Prime's dad had the sh*t kicked out of him by this fella. The proportions are really mad with this sketch - somehow I imagine the wheels to be taller than the average operator - which just makes it look even more menacing. Great work, and thanks for sharing it with the Front-line Group.
