With all of the focus on being "carbon neutral" and the conscious consumption rhetoric that comes with that I feel as though we have slightly lost sight of what design is about... ...making people's lives better. My goal through this concept is to use an alternative energy source to solve a more human centered problem; a simpler way to install a ceiling fan.
