Description

This mailbox was designed following the 20 pages of government guidelines for mailbox designs. This new design allows the user to customize a message to announce an occasion, or simply their address. I developed a simple, working mechanism to automatically put the flag down when the box is opened by the carrier, while simultaneously releasing a signal on the back of the box to alert the homeowner from their window that the mail is in. The box also resists vandalism with a spring/hinged base.
