As Lead Interaction Designer I gather requirements, create concepts, deliver final documentation, and work with iOS engineers to guide development of our core products Edupath SAT for iPhone and Parent Dashboard for Web. Freelance Web Designer, San Francisco and New York. 1994 – present Design and build websites for nonprofits and independent artists, using Open Source technology as the foundation for dynamic publishing. Ansca Mobile, Palo Alto, CA, April 2010 – January 2012 Creative Director, User Interface Developer, Software Engineer Ansca Mobile is a startup based in Palo Alto, and makers of the Corona SDK, a cross-platform development tool for mobile applications. While I was there I managed the creative direction and execution of marketing on their main web properties. I developed an internal data analytics dashboard to guide the business. I also developed online tools for the community to share code, promote their businesses, view app analytics, and fuel app discovery. Tangible UX, LLC, San Francisco, CA, May 2009 – June 2010 Interaction Design Consultant As an interaction design consultant working with Tangible UX, I develop interaction concepts, create wireframes and sitemaps, and work directly with Tangible UX's clients to build great user experiences. I work with Tangible UX's researchers and architects to build the best experiences from the most informed perspective. The Cooper Union School of Art, New York. 1999 – 2000 Digital Studio Technician As the Mac OS X Server administrator, maintained facilities, outlined, and documented ongoing projects. Assisted students with issues from software/hardware capabilities to aesthetics. Projection Presentation Technology Inc, San Francisco, 1998 – 1999 Audio/Visual Technician Set up, operated audio/video equipment for business conferences. Required in depth technical knowledge and on-site improvisation. Artists' Television Access, San Francisco, 1998 Instructor Taught a basic HTML and web design course on Saturdays at a nonprofit media center. Course targeted artists, photographers, and others with online portfolios. ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT Artists' Television Access Co-Director, Volunteer Staff Member, Projectionist, Technician, 1998 – present. ATA is a nonprofit organization founded in 1984 with the mission of educating artists and to be a resource to the community in television and video production, with the goal of creating culturally aware and culturally responsible artworks. As a staff member, I help with audio and video projection, maintain their website, and fix their computers and wireless network. Detritus Projects Co-Founder, Video Artist, 2003 - present. Detritus Projects is a collaboration with locally based artist Kathleen Quillian in the creation of multi-media artwork. Work has been exhibited at the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery, Pond Gallery, Artists' Television Access, and the ReJoyce Dublin 2004 Bloomsday Centenary Festival in Ireland.
