Currently living in Peterborough, New Hampshire, I am a full time
illustrator of children’s books and stories. I am a member of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, (SCBWI) the New England Chapter of SCBWI and the Monadnock Art Group, Chidrens Book Illustrators Group - NYC (CBIG-NYC).

EXPERIENCE
A former first grade teacher, a travel agent, a doll maker and painter, I bring a combination of all into my work as a children’s book illustrator.
To date I have illustrated ten books for the children’s market and have also done my share of educational illustrations for student readers in the elementary and middle school levels. My artwork is a mixture of traditional and digital media with all finished work completed digitally.

Skills
My training as a traditional artist has enabled me to understand color, design, composition and the various media that lend texture and tone to a painting. As a digital artist proficient in Corel Painter I have been able to achieve much of the same in my illustrations. Texture, tone, point of view, emotion and commotion are common elements in my work. I try to tell a story within each illustration. Samples for file may be requested. Requests may be sent to my email address.
