Pierce First Response Vehicle - A concept for a modular fire engine. Smaller in size than conventional engines, it is easier to negotiate through city streets and more cost effective to operate. The First Response Vehicle can be configured as a fire fighter, patient transport or a combination of the two. Developed in conjunction with Pierce and unveiled at the 1997 National Fire Apparatus Show in Dallas, Texas

Ambulance configuration. This platform allows the vehicle to be configured as an Ambulance. This would be the first ever modular fire fighting vehicle. The concept has influenced the OEM's to create vehicles that can be configured to the specific needs of the customer.
