Dettol ® toilet brush concept design for Reckitt Benckiser

Design week; I was set a brief by Reckitt Benckiser to explore how they could improve the sustainability credentials of hard surface Cleaning (Kitchens, Bathrooms, Toilets etc.) (Dettol/Harpic). I focused in on the re-design of a toilet brush which saved on the amount of dettol used, as well as improving the overall design in relation to functionality & hygiene.

The design; reflecting the key forms and features of the Dettol brand.
Full Size (highres_width x highres_height)
Concept page outlining key features and concepts.
Holder re-design: having a grate for the brush to sit on as opposed to sitting in dirty water.
View showing where dettol in foam form will come out of the base of the brush.
A screw lid and funnel top; to fill the handle with dettol, which will be pumped out (manually) in foam form.
View showing windows in the handle, allowing visual communication with the user, informing them of how much dettol is left in the brush.
