BOM Radar concepts (2014)
Proposals I designed to evolve the flagship radars into a more user-centred service. 2 concepts shown.
Problem: Existing Bureau radar products (250+) lacked competitive features, eg. longer duration loops, workflow favoured interaction, mobility enhancements and registered user extensions.
Propose (via research):
* Simplify and rationalise
* Engage through motion
* Streamline UI
* Add temporality as a user control
* New map layers surfaced
* Fullscreen/immersive/wallpanel modes
* Enable BIAS for time shifting/nowcasting
* Prepare adaptations
