Exhibit - North View - The Exhibit Designers and Producers Association held a Student Design Competition known as the “Get Green, Inc.” challenge. The challenge for this competition was to “..design a trade show booth that maximizes face-to-face marketing experiences.” The booth was to fit in a 50’ by 50’ space with a 20’ ceiling at the 2009 International Builders Show in Las Vegas.
Exhibit - South View - The last product display, the “Earthworm,” was designed to demonstrate the possibilities of their “Energy Pro” photo voltaic cells. The form can be seen in many of the views as the brown, twisting centerpiece located above the dual cantilevered living wall canopies. Through the use of fabric tensioning, the free form shape could easily be supported. Other technologies: LEC & candelabra CFL lighting, ELT living wall system, 100% recycled ABS plastic & cardboard
Custom Reception Desk - The exhibit design for our fictional client called for a reception desk near the main entrance, central theater and conference space with dual cantilevered green canopy, multi-level ramp in sunbeam egress pattern and three product display areas.
Product Display - The first product line are “Green Glow” high efficiency light bulbs. Their product display design called “Prairie Lights,” are derived from nature. The energy source mimics a flower planter pot. Following this form of biomimicry, the “stems” then link the planter’s energy source to the product. The bulbs themselves then represent the blooms of a flower.
Product Display - The next product display designs are known as the “Splash Drops.” In the spirit of biomimicry, these kiosks follow the form of a splashing water droplet. The kiosks display information on different appliances from “Get Green, Inc.” Convex plastic sheeting and lighting create the effect of a pulsating water droplet. When approached, the lens-paper becomes an interactive screen. Around the top is a circular ceiling overhang fitted with a sound pod to personalize each user’s experience.
