Theresa Hayes grew up in Clifton Park, NY and attended Shenendehowa Central School. Following her undergraduate studies, she apprenticed with wedding photographers Emma Dodge Hanson of Saratoga Springs, NY and Cesar Tirado of White Plains, NY. In 2008, she began graduate work at The College of Saint Rose where she studied under the instruction of Tom Santelli. In fall of 2009, she was also given the opportunity to meet with Keith Carter to discuss her in-progress thesis.
